1.
SELECTION OF THE EXPERT |

1.1. |
ECTI
proceeds with the greatest care in the search and selection of the most
qualified voluntary Experts corresponding to the requirements of the
Applicant.
The final selection of the Expert will be made by the Applicant after
examination of the CVs submitted by ECTI.. |
|
2.
OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS FOR THE ASSIGNMENT |

2.1. |
The
period for the execution of the assignment as well as the estimated
number of days are specified in the Agreement. The duration of the
assignment may be modified in the course of its execution by mutual
agreement between the Parties. In case of a force majeure event, any
Party may put an end to the assignment by denouncing the Agreement.
The Expert has no authority to make any commitment on behalf of ECTI nor
to modify the terms of the Agreement. In case of default of the Expert,
ECTI will offer to the Applicant a new choice of experts to enable the
execution or continuation of the assignment. |

2.2. |
The
Applicant will appoint, amongst his staff, the person(s) in charge of
assisting the Expert for the best achievement of his assignment, give
him free access to useful documentation for this intervention, and will
authorize him to establish appropriate internal and external contacts.
The Applicant will, at his own expense, put at the Expert's disposal all
suitable working facilities, such as transport, office, secretarial
services, interpreter if needed, etc.. |

2.3. |
The
Expert undertakes to execute his mission professionally. However he is
not an employee of ECTI who merely establishes contact between him and
the Applicant.
The Expert will give advices or make suggestions which the Applicant is
free to follow or not. He cannot take the place of the decision maker
and be held responsible since he is offering a voluntary and unpaid
service. |

2.4. |
ECTI
will, by appropriate measures, protect all information relating to the
assignment in so far as the confidential aspect is not lifted by the
Applicant. The Expert, signatory of the Agreement, is subjected to the
same obligations. |
|
|
2.5. |
At the
end of the assignment, the Applicant will inform ECTI of the progress of
the assignment and of the quality of assistance provided by the Expert. |
|
3.
FINANCIAL CLAUSES |
|
|
3.1. |
The
Expert shall not receive any remuneration or fees in connection with his
assignment. |
|
|
3.2. |
The
expenses incurred by the Expert in France with regard to the
preparation of his assignment, travel expenses from his residence to the
airport and back, possible overnight stay in Paris as well as visa,
vaccination … will be borne by the Applicant and the corresponding
payment made to ECTI. Unless otherwise agreed, the Applicant shall not
reimburse such expenses directly to the Expert. |

3.3. |
The
Applicant will make available a prepaid return air ticket for the Expert
and will cover all his local living and travelling expenses . |
|
|
3.4. |
To cover
any local expenses to be paid by the Expert, the Applicant will provide
advance money on a fortnightly or monthly basis in order to avoid
changing foreign currency not easily recoverable later on. |
|
|
3.5. |
The
Applicant will ensure that the above mentioned payments are free from
any duty or tax. If required by local regulations, the Applicant will
arrange for necessary documents at the time the Expert will leave the
country. |
|
3.6. |
The
Applicant will contribute to the overhead costs of ECTI by paying an
amount to be mutually agreed upon before the beginning of the
assignment. |
