TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE CHINESE PARTY IN CASE OF A CONTRACT OF ASSIGNMENT

______________________

This document states the tasks to be carried out by the Chinese Party, either the Chinese Partner – CP – or the Requesting Unit – RU –, when the CP or the RU and ECTI agree to set up the assignment in China of a French expert .

It is supposed that every detail relating to the assignment has been surveyed and agreed : target of the assignment, name of the expert, date and duration of the expert’s stay.

The Chinese Party has to carry out the following tasks.

 1.  International return air-ticket Paris – Beijing or Shanghai.

This ticket is to be paid by the Chinese Party..
Due to the usual lack of seats availability in the planes the flight reservation must be made as soon as the date of the travel is decided.
For the delivery of the ticket two solutions are possible :

·        the Chinese Party buys the ticket in China and sends it by post to ECTI : the sending must be made at least three weeks before the departure date.

·        the Chinese Party gives instructions to the German Agency of China Travel Service – CTS – to issue the ticket and to hand it over to ECTI. Likewise this operation must be made as early as possible.

The data of the German Agency of CTS are as follows:

·        name : China Travel and Trading Gmbh,

·        telephone : 49 69 23 85 22 38 or 39

·        fax : 49 69 23 23 24

·        E-mail : zeng@chinatravelservice.de

·        postal address : Düsseldorfer Strasse, 14 – D 60329 FRANKFURT –  GERMANY

 2.  Reception of the expert on his arrival at Beijing or Shanghai Airport.

From his arrival at Beinjing or Shanghai airport the expert is under the full responsibility of the Chinese Party during his whole stay in China until the agreed date of his departure.
Consequently his reception on his arrival at the airport must be organized and the relevant expenses must be supported by the Chinese Party.

            This task includes :

·        welcome at the airport,

·        bringing along the expert to the requesting unit in case of transport by car to the location of assignment or transfer to the domestic airport or the railway station either straightaway or on the following day after a one-night stay in the downtown,

·        in this second case transfer to a hotel (three-star hotel at least) and payment for lodging and boarding,

In Beijing, this reception can be made on request by China Services  International.

The data of China Services International are as follows :

·        name of the person in charge : Mr. QIAN Cheng

·        telephone : 010 62 19 59 80 – 010 62 19 01 04 – 135 01 08 28 69

·        fax : 010 62 19 00 97

·        E-mail : qiancheng1907@hotmail.com

·         postal address :2-16A Beijing Hi-Tech Convention and Exhibition Center 48 North Sanhuanxi Road – BEIJING 100086

In Shanghai, no organized welcome service can be recommended : the reception is under the responsibility of the Chinese Party.

3.  Transfer to the location of the assignment.

This transfer can be made :

·         by car if the duration of the journey is not longer than three or four hours,

·         by train in “soft class”,

·         more usually by plane.

The transfer by car is under the full responsibility of the Chinese Party.

Every step of the transfer by train or by plane must be organized and supported by the Chinese Party :

·        reservation and buying of the railway ticket or domestic air-ticket,

·        transfer to the railway station or to the domestic airport,

·        welcome at the arrival railway station or at the arrival airport.

4.  Expert’s accommodation during the assignment.

After his arrival the expert must be authorized to give a phone call or send a fax or an E-mail stating his good arrival.

During the expert’s assignment the Chinese Party has to provide him free of charge with :

·        lodging in a three-star hotel at least,

·        boarding for every day of the stay, including three meals per day,

·        transport between the hotel and the working location

In addition the Chinese Party hands over to the expert a daily allowance –“per diem” – of 80 yuans per day of expert’s stay  in China. This allowance is preferably remitted to the expert at the beginning of his stay or in the very first days of his stay.

If the expert’s stay includes a week-end  it is usual that the Chinese Party takes care of the expert during this week-end, for instance offering him a sightseeing tour.

In due time the Chinese Party must reconfirm the return domestic flight of the expert to Beijing or Shanghai in case of a transfer by plane and buy the railway ticket in case of a transfer by train.

At least 72 hours before the expert’s departure date from Beijing or Shanghai the Chinese Party must reconfirm the international flight to the relevant Airline Company. Failing to do that the reservation would be cancelled and the expert would remain on the expenditure of the Chinese Party until a new departure date can be fixed.

At last the Chinese Party must organize the expert’s reception on his coming back to Beijing or Shanghai.

5. Reception of the expert on his return to Beijijng or Shanghai after his assignment.

Upon the expert’s return to Beijing or Shanghai after his assignment the Chinese Party must foresee and take in charge similar operations to the ones made on his arrival :

·        welcome at the domestic airport or at the railway station,

·        transfer to the hotel and payment of lodging and boarding,

·        transfer to the international airport.

The total duration of the expert’s stay to be charged to the Chinese Party on his arrival and on his departure cannot exceed three days. Beyond this period the expert must be charged except in the case of an exceptional event irrelevant of his responsibility which would result in delaying his departure.

In the case of assignments set up with the usual ECTI’s partners, the expert, during his stay in Beijing or Shanghai, enjoys a sightseeing tour paid by the Chinese Party. It is not an obligation but if, in the present case, the Chinese partner offers a similar arrangement the expert will greatly appreciate it.

7. Insurance.

The ECTI experts are provided with a health insurance by the French Company  INTER PARTNER. Each expert is given a card showing the phone number of this company. He is requested to notify the company in case of an illness or an accident. If physically he cannot do it somebody around him is kindly requested to take care of him and to inform

INTER PARTNER. Tel: 33 1 55 92 12 12           Fax: 33 1 55 92 40 50

ECTI states that its experts are strictly forbidden to drive a car or a motorcycle in China.

8. Expert’s evaluation.

After completion of the assignment the Chinese Party is kindly requested to fill up the form “ CLIENT ASSIGNMENT EVALUATION” supplied by ECTI and to send it to ECTI.
